The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of valacyclovir in patients with recurrent genital herpes in a large phase 2 clinical trial.
Valacyclovir, a common antiviral drug, is a reversible and active component of several oral therapy regimens for herpes virus infections. The current guidelines suggest that valacyclovir should be administered as an intravenous (IV) infusion (e.g. intravenous infusion at a dose of 500 mg of valacyclovir twice daily). In this study, the response rate was 90.4% in patients who experienced an episode of recurrence after treatment failure.
A total of 705 patients were enrolled (57% of whom experienced an episode of recurrence) in this study. The median age was 39.3 years. Most (63%) were men. Most patients were symptomatic. Most of the patients had active genital herpes infection at the time of diagnosis and the patient was a young male patient with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 kg/m2. In the recurrence of genital herpes patients, the median time to recurrence was 2.7 years, and the median duration of recurrence was 5 years. In the first episode, most patients experienced an episode of genital herpes during the first 6 months of treatment. In the second episode, most patients experienced an episode of recurrence during the first 6 months of treatment. Most patients experienced recurrence of genital herpes during the third year of treatment, in the second episode, in the third episode, in the fourth episode and in the fifth episode.
Patients who did not respond to treatment were excluded from the analysis.
In this study, all patients had a history of active genital herpes and had received a diagnosis of genital herpes in a first episode (recurrent episode). Recurrences were defined as an episode that occurred during or after a median of 5.6 months.
For patients who had recurrent episodes, treatment was initiated by intravenous (IV) intravenous infusion, as follows:
I/CoTuaAenrR
IV infusion of valacyclovir (Valtrex) resulted in a reduction in viral shedding, whereas the frequency of genital herpes recurrences did not differ significantly (0.4% vs 0.6%, respectively;p= 0.05).
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of treatment on the frequency of genital herpes recurrences in patients with recurrent herpes simplex. The frequency of recurrences was compared with the recurrences in the first episode of recurrence (i.e., recurrence 1-year after first episode). The frequency of recurrences in patients who experienced an episode of genital herpes in the recurrence of genital herpes was compared with the recurrences in the first episode of recurrence.
In the study, a total of 705 patients with recurrent genital herpes were enrolled. The mean age of the patients was 39.3 years (range: 24-41). Most (63%) of the patients had a medical history of active genital herpes, with the median duration of recurrence of 5.

I was prescribed Valtrex in the US. I have tried everything. The only thing that worked for me was taking Valtrex without a prescription. I can't tell you how many times I have been on it for less than an hour. It works for me as well.
I did have to take it daily for 5 days. I did try taking it on an empty stomach, and it worked for me.
It worked great for me. I was on an injection for a week. I never had to take the pill.
I had a headache for 10 days. I started feeling drowsy after that.
The pill did not work. I had a few days where I had nausea and dizziness.
I don't know how I got on this medication. I'm not sure if it's the side effects or the drug itself. I did some research about it and it seems to have the same effect. The pill works. I'm not sure if it was the side effects or the drug itself.
I am not sure how long I will be on Valtrex. I have used it for several years. I do have to give up trying to get it off of my body. I am trying to get some relief in the short term.
Thanks for any help!
Dr. JR.
